Your event booking will be confirmed by our events coordinator within 24 hours in most cases, and your event is not secured until this occurs. If we are unable to support your preferred date and time for any reason, your deposit will be refunded immediately if desired. or your event can be rescheduled. Your deposit will be applied to your bar tab at the end of your event. At the end of your event time, your tab will be settled up, but you and your guests may stay and enjoy the brewery as long as you would like.
Pricing
There is no flat fee for a Brewery Party. We do require a minimum spend and apply a 25% service charge, which covers the gratuity paid to our staff and our event coordinator's fee. All beverage purchases (before tax) count toward the bar minimum, including canned to-go beer and hard seltzer. Clothing and schwag may only count a maximum of 10% toward your bar minimum spend. We require one tab for your event. All guests must be vaccinated to remove their mask indoors, and we check vaccination status of all indoor guests.
The bar minimums are based on the number of guests you plan to have (and therefore the number of tables we reserve). The bar minimums are as follows:
11-20 Guests: No minimum.
21-30 Guests: $299
31-40 Guests: $399
We can also handle special requests, so please don't hesitate to ask, and please send us an email at info+BHB@blackhammerbrewing.com
Black Hammer Brewing Venue Policy
Black Hammer Brewing requires a variable semi-refundable (see below) deposit to reserve our venue for your event. This can be paid via Shopify, in person or over the phone with a credit card.
We are a dog friendly establishment at all times. We encourage outside food and catering if desired (we only require that any leftovers are removed at the end of your event), and we also offer craft empanadas and snacks.
Entertainment
We are widely regarded as the most fun brewery in San Francisco, and our sound system is second to none - our party-throwing skills were honed at the largest party in the world for 10 years. We work with several local DJ's and musicians to provide a unique experience for private events upon request. We are happy to discuss the details with you further if you are interested in entertainment options.
Timing
Any setup and tear-down time you may need is generally included in the duration of your buyout, as we are an operating bar and restaurant and cannot typically permit any setup time within our establishment or on the sidewalk outside of the reservation timeframe.
We ask that you allocate enough time in your buyout to account for any set up and tear down you may need (including decorating, catering, or deliveries). Please plan to bring and take everything with you as we do not have storage space for your supplies or leftovers.
Merchandise purchases may only account for 10% of your bar minimum. You are welcome to purchase more merchandise if desired, but the bar minimum is intended to be the amount in drink purchases your group achieves by the conclusion of your event. All beverages purchased count towards the bar minimum (including non-alcoholic options), and including packaged beer and hard seltzer.
Cancellation Policy
Your deposit is fully refundable until your event is confirmed with our events coordinator, and after confirmation your deposit is only refundable if your event must be cancelled due to increased COVID19 restrictions, such as a new quarantine mandate, or Federal, State or City imposed travel limitations or public gathering restrictions.
If you must cancel your event before 48 hours prior the start of your event, you may reschedule your event buyout for a different date pending our availability and subject to applicable rate changes, if a change request is made at least 48 hours in advance of the event start time. In the event of a cancellation or change within 48 hours of your event, except for the aforementioned COVID-related reasons, your deposit is non-refundable and an additional deposit may be required to secure the date change, if applicable.
